University of Arizona Gem & Mineral Museum
A promise will be fulfilled
The new University of Arizona Gem & Mineral Museum will bring globally renowned scientists to Tucson and set off an explosion of tourism. It will make the UA Geosciences department the center of the Earth sciences universe and unify the mineralogy community that revolves around it.
The museum is on track to open in 2019. And that depends on you.
In order to take advantage of this opportunity, the museum must raise a minimum of $5-$10 million. The $11 million Pima County Courthouse renovation is targeted for completion in 2019, and the lower level labs could be opened
before the end of 2018.
We know we can meet this challenge, and we can do so very quickly. Let’s turn this historic building into a world-famous museum and world-class destination for Earth scientists. Since you are recognized as someone with a vital interest in the project, we’d like to ask for your help in making this vision a reality.
Help us celebrate. Make occupancy a reality for our 100th anniversary in 2019.
There are a number of ways in which you can help to support the Museum.
